Comic-Con adventure

A few of you may have been waiting to read about my Comic-Con adventures, assuming I still have anyone reading my pages and not only have bots hitting up my visitor count.

So my first Comic-con adventure was such a positive one that I decided after the first day to go the second day as well when I was invited to. My daughter was just as motivated if not even more after meeting her new friend Nova on the first day.

We left home a little later than I originally had planned because I realized that my poor lil doggy would have to stay the whole day home so I took my time getting myself and Anarosa ready for the Con. I had turned her into a cute little black cat with ears n tail n all and myself in my last pixy cosplay creation.

Our outfits sparked for conversation while still waiting for our metro. A neighbor and his daughter were going there too and when they saw our costumes he figured we may be going to the Con. I was surprised someone from my neighborhood to go there but it was a good surprise.

The guy told me a little about what I could expect and that it wasn’t a big event here in the RAI, the event in Utrecht later on in November was a lot bigger he told me. I kinda got worried if I should go anymore but with my tickets on my phone and my lil one all excited, that would be a waste.

Together with my neighbor and his daughter, we traveled there and after arrival, we split up again to go our own ways. He was right, it was not as crowded as I had been worried about but that was actually better for me with my social anxiety. Crowded places are usually stressful for me and I don’t get to really enjoy it much if I can’t pull myself out of it for a little bit.

I made some pictures of the cosplayers and art to see there. The food and drinks were extremely expensive. I paid almost 8 euros for two small bottles of Fanta in comparison I can buy 3 bottles of 2 liters for that at the store. Oh well while strolling past the stands we bought a surprise bag with cute things in it from Rem & Ram like posters and a pillow cover.

All the while making pictures Roos and me met some more people and made a few new friends too. In fact, we both enjoyed ourself so much that we decided to accept an invitation to go the second day too.

This second day was although it was quieter it was holding even more surprises for us. Roos and her new friend Nova were asked to participate in a youtube video by the Fistbumpbros who are a team that makes videos at gaming cosplay conventions and are sponsored by Funkopops. My daughter is a huge Youtube fan who actually even wants to be a Youtuber was beyond excited and her little friend just as much. They are in the same video as the actors Manu Bennet and Casper van Dien.

I am already planning my visit to the next Comic-Con in November in Utrecht and since Roos is with me that weekend as well we go together. I am a bit anxious about it though to be honest because its a much bigger Comic-Con then this one in Amsterdam was. Of course, the pictures I took are on my Instagram and some even on my Facebook. Enjoy!
