As Usual
As Usual I have not posted in a while, the vacation and the beautiful weather we had (and still have) get the most of me. I am trying to enjoy it as much as I can. Aside of all that I do have gotten very busy again. The dog I was going to get, well we bought it. I just love that little pup, hes a handful and not only in size. He wakes us up early and he is the reason Im spending more time outside then ever. But again, the weather has been great this summer so I am not complaining. Hes doing very well, we got him news paper trained now and hes not even 3 months old. Oh i did not tell you what breed he is? He is a West Highland White Terrier and the cutest there is.I wanted a big dog and I got one.. all be it in a small package LOL I’ve added a picture so you can see him for yourself. The picture was taken by Degens fotografie at a fantasy festival in Holland called Castlefest and its every year in august in Lisse for 3 days. Though we just go one day, its expensive enough already. Anyhow, we called him Silver because he kinda makes me think of a pirate.. I dunno why though.
Not only Silver has been photograped, but this year even I got some requests to pose for the camera at the festival. Although I have to admit.. most of the attention went to Silver. I made my costume by myself this year with a lot of help from my mom and a colleague from the community center. I had been able to buy a load of fabric in a old pink color at a very cheap rate so I had bought a lot of it and I needed most of it too. That was used for the overcoat and skirt. The top was made of a black/white striped fabric that I also got very cheap. It was a lot of work though but well worth it. I received a lot of compliments and questions on the dress. Anarosa and Merel where dressed up too, merel was wearing her dress that she got the other year and for Anarosa I bought a princess dress on Ebay with a petticoat skirt under it.
The summer vacation we spend at my mom’s house in Drenthe, well just a week though, because Antonio worked most of the summer. We visited the zoo and went to the market and just spend sometime relaxing, we played family games, had a bbq and took a nice long walk. The zoo was the highlight of the week. We stayed one day longer so my mom who was in England for a week could babysit Silver, the dog, the day after she got back home. It was not a 5 star Hotel in Budapest but we for sure had a good time again. In two months we are going a week to Portugal to visit Antonio his relatives. Hope I get to see something of Portugal too.
