My new camera review

Monday, October 31st, 2011

Yes, this is about my new nikon s3100… I’m really dissapointed in it. The pictures are not sharp like with my old canon a480 or even my a430.

So I want to resell it on ebay. Perhaps people with lower expectations of the camera or who can get along with it better then me will be happy with it. Its in great condition, I only have it for a few weeks just the pictures that come out of it are not what i want. Maybe its not the camera but the photographer, but with my old canon I did not have such problems at all… So its gonna be bye bye nikon pretty soon..

Photoshop

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011

So I re-discovered again my creative side and dig up my photoshop. I have worked on several contest projects but not all of them or actualy onl few of them I had decided to upload to the contest site.. However I wasnt that thrilled about one of my entries, its there now and it lost. I havent created anything yet in the last few contest that I would really classify as a top piece.. I just have to get back into it I guess.. and my last chop thats running in a curent contest is actualy not so bad at all. I wont say which one because I dont want to influence the contest that way. I dont want ppl to vote high or low because they know a certain work is mine. You can see all my works in the finished contests on my pxleyes page. You can find the link at the right bottom of this page 🙂

Shoelaces…

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

My daughter, who just turned 1 last juli 27th, loves shoes, and slippers… I always find one of my shoes or slippers on the coffee table after she been playing there, which is everyday. When I sit on the couch my slippers usualy are under the coffee table so she plays with them and they end up on the table… another thing is shoes with shoelaces… I dont know why but shes playing with them… for long times in a row… she can drag our shoes (one at a time) with he to the living room when she has to come with me. She wont let go of the shoe but just takes it so she can continue to play LOL Hahaha Just had to share that!

New Camera

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

Since my last new camera turned out to be a bit of a dissapointment and it broke, I bought a new one. From another brand. I used to love the Canon powershot cameras but the other one i had was barely a few days past the warranty date and it stopped working propperly. Something with the lense being stuck when I turned it on. Sometimes it would go on normally, with a lot of od sounds though, that I dont thik its suposed to make. But then when I made pictures with it they where always blurry Like the lense wasnt clear or something… I never dropped the camera and always have been carefull with it carrying it in a camera bag etc etc.. So for a while I used my old old old camera, my old canon powershot that I thought broke too.. It had served me for a few years so I didnt mind replacing that one when it started to give me troubles. It would give me memory card errors when I turn it on and when I would take out n out back in the memory card it was fine again and I could just make pictures. Kinda annoying but it still worked. So I used that for  almost a year again. I didnt really wanted to spend money on a camera allready and there where more important things to spend my money on. So when I dont really need it.. why buy it right? But two days ago when making pictures of my daughter in her cute new pajamas, I noticed somethign really weird on the screen. Lines… Lines on mhy picture.. the picture looked like a printed picture from a printer that is running low on ink… or just a real old one that needs to be cleaned.. or replaced lmao. So I did needed a new camera now cause I do have the need to make pictures whenever I want to. Especialy with Anarosa being so little I have to have a working camera.

So I bought a Nikon this time… Nikon S3100… a purple one… I love purple 🙂 The reviews on this camera where good so I decided to give it a shot. And here it is:

I was gonna buy a nikon s5100 but the reviews on this one where better AND I couldnt get the s5100 in purple for the price I wanted it for. So I went for the S3100, which was cheaper, had better reviews… and last but not least, its purple :). I Like the camera so far, its easier to operate then my last Canon, and I like the color better… my Canon was red XD They had no purples. So I played a little bit with it and the pictures seem to looking good as well. So, I am back in bussines, the picture bussines XD.

A long lost love…

Monday, September 19th, 2011

No, no, Antonio has nothing to worry about, it isn’t any competition. Actualy, he felt in love with him too, right away when he saw him. Haha, now you really want to know what the heck I am talking about, right? Well, when I was a little girl, yes, I have been a little girl too! I know that was long ago, thanks for remind me. Anyhow, there wasn’t as many channels on TV as there are now. If I’m not mistaken, we had 2 German channels, 2 Dutch channels, 2 Belgium channels and there where 2 English channels. That’s all I can remember we could receive through the normal connection. I am talking about 35 years ago now. Like I said, there weren’t as many channels and there weren’t as many TV shows either… Of course, the kid’s TV shows were more limited too and no violence in them at all. Unlike now, that almost every single TV show or cartoon has violence in it. Even for little kids. Think about for example the Powerpuff Girls… Those three cute little girls destroy the whole city and monsters… And they are heroes. I have to admit, I liked that TV show but I do think its too violent. Now, the shows that I used to watch as a little girl: De film van Ome Willem, Calimero, De Berenboot, Beertje Colarcol, Bolke de Beer and of course Barbapapa. If you click the links, they will take you to a little youtube movie from that show so you can see what I am talking about. I usually choose for the intro of the show but if u want to see more of it just click the links on youtube. Those that I mentioned are my favorites that I can remember out of my head right now. I am sure there were more but the one lost love I am talking about now is Barbapapa.

The last few years, Barbapapa won back a lot of his popularity after being out of sight for a while. The first book we ever bought for Anarosa was of course Barbapapa. It has the shape of the house of Barbapapa and when you fold it open you see all the little rooms for each of the Barbapapas. Then theres more to it, aside of the big foldout book, there are the little books that come with it. Each book has the shape and colors of one of the barbapapas and tells about the character on the inside. You can play various games with these books aside of just reading from them to your child.

Of course, I had to show Antonio some of the shows of Barbapapa and he fell in love with barbapapa too. Anarosa loves the little books though she’s still too young to really do much with it. Also, we own now a few DVDs of Barbapapa, they contain all the shows of Barbapapa from the first till the last one. In the morning, after I feed Anarosa and after she played a little, I usually start work on my chores and then I put Anarosa in front of the TV in her baby Swing Chair with a cookie. And she watches Barbapapa… And she loves it too!!! She even says Barbapapa lol. She recognizes the little book shapes with the characters from TV too :). It really warms my heart to see how much she enjoys Barbapapa just like I did.

Did you know that the first book appeared in 1970? And that its translated in more then 30 languages? To read more about Barbapapa and how they where created in the 70’s u can read here on the wikipedia page and here is the official Barbapapa webpage (French Dutch or English).
