Well basically the title said it all.. The plane in Caracas Venezuela was supposed to have left the gate at 4:20 PM local time, we would have 2 hours to change planes (flight transfer) in Lissabon to get on the plane to Schiphol in Amsterdam. The plane eventually left the gate in Caracas around 7 PM local time. the plane arrived in Lissabon around 7 o clock at the gate, which would be the same time as our plane to Amsterdam was supposed to take off. They kept the plane on the ground for us and some other ppl and delayed that flight. That meant that again there was no time for me to go fly buy shopping in Lissabon 🙁 I was going to by something in Caracas at the tax free section but I forgot I did not had any Venezuelan money left except for a few coins which is basically nothing. So i had put my hope on Lissabon :(. Just like the day we where going to Caracas, No time for shopping at Lissabon then either because we literally ran allover the airport to catch the plane that they had delayed 30 minutes because that time the plane leaving from Amsterdam was late. ANYHOW. Aboard of the plane I wanted to buy a few things that where so new that they did not had it yet 🙁 Although it was in there on-board sales magazine 🙁 that’s just my luck.  Once we finally landed back at Schiphol we where quickly out of the plane and back at the baggage band to pick up the baggage. It took a while for the baggage to start rolling in but when it did I saw eventually some familiar suitcases.. well two to be exact.. there where supposed to be three!! The biggest one was/is missing and my new dress, my fairy, and Anarosa her new shoes are in there!! It was located to be in Lissabon still and it would go on the next flight to Amsterdam. That flight should have landed hours ago and I did got some call around the time the next flight would have landed but no one answered and I was kinda sleepy so I am not sure if that was the baggage retrieving company or not. However I figured they would have called me back if it was. Well I can reach them by phone till 7 and since its all ready 8 o clock and heard nothing, I just have to assume I will receive my luggage tomorrow. Lets hope so, I loved that fairy, it was a Christmas gift!!! Besides there was a lot more stuff in there like my shoes and clothes. I don’t have the energy now to add pictures, I just wanna sit n hang on the couch n browse n whatever more lol. Antonio is setting up the laptop for Merel that he got from his bro and I can’t help but wonder where he got the energy from. Then again, I already sorted out the other two suitcases and all our hand luggage. Brought it to the rooms where they belong and gave everyone their gifts. Most, if not all of them where in my hand luggage and the  two suitcases that we did got. Lets hope for good news tomorrow :). I will report again  then. Oh yah, and the food on the plane.. well lets just say I want to forget about that as soon as possible 😉

As far as the other issues I’m dealing with, no comments yet, still too upset and tired from the trip to have gotten my head clear about it. 🙂

First off,  you guys probably already noticed something happened because of my last post and yes, there is some stuff on my mind that I need to get straight in my head first before I am going to post about it on my blog, some stuff happened and I got really upset about it. At this moment I am unsure of how to respond exactly and I don’t think right now is the moment to word my thoughts and write about it because they are most definitely not going to be very nice for sure right now. I am not a person to keep my mouth shut but its also not in my intention to hurt others while venting my own thoughts, so I have decided to think about it for a little longer first, although I have my doubts that I can say anything nice about this at all ever without being a liar. So much of that, on to the next subject….

Today we visited for the last time this vacation a mall here in Caracas. We went back to the first mall we went because I had seen a dress there and I really liked it, just didn’t buy it because I thought it was a little expensive. The store we where yesterday didn’t had the shoes I liked in my size so I wanted to look for shoes too. Well I went into a store where they had a great sale n bought a bunch of shirts that where priced down 60%. I tried on a few pair of shoes but although they where nice n where fitting me I was not as thrilled about them as I was about the pair I had tried on the other day. Then we went to find the store where I saw the dress. Antonio’s mom remembered where the store was but they changed the window completely and the dress was not on any of the mannequins anymore. So I was not sure if that really was the store and we looked up one floor higher there was only restaurants and fast food corners there so we went another up. . Did not found the store there and went back down where we gave KFC a third and last try to serve me some hotwings. That resulted in a major disappointment because once again for the third time in three weeks of vacation they had NO hotwings. It is on the menu though and they should have it but they ran out O.o. Well a few stands further was the subways. We had tried to order there the new chicken bacon ranch melt sub before but t that time they had no chicken so we gave that another try… Again they had no chicken O.o

Seriously I don’t get it if that’s just my bad luck or they are just badly stocked up. Anyways we ordered the chicken bacon ranch melt just replaced the chicken with turkey. whew they did had turkey. Although it was not the same, the chicken are pieces of grilled chicken and the turkey is slices of cooked turkey, and they didnt had the honey mustard dressing, the sub tasted good and filled my tummy. Anarosa’s tummy too because when I offered her a bite from my sub, she grabbed it and that was the end of my lunch LOL.

After lunch we went back down a floor to go to the store where Antonio’s mom thought the dress was. We went inside and I tried on some dresses. I liked them and they where ok but the first one made me look shorter, the second one was ok just would liked it better in a  different color, and then finally the third one was the dress I had seen. It was more expensive but it looked better on me then the other two. So after Anarosa managed to lock the changing room and I had to crawl under the doors (thank goodness there was about 50/60 cm space) to get back in because she wouldn’t or couldn’t open it anymore, I could change back into my own clothes n give it another thought. back into my own clothes I had made up my mind. That dress is comming with me to Holland 🙂 yay!! After that we just went home because Anarosa had enough of shopping for one day.

We where just in time home to see two  f14 or f16 (I’m no expert) dive down into the city to fly up again right after they fly really low over the buildings. We where quite surprised about this and the tv gave an explanation of it when we had it turned on. It was some propaganda about Chavez with a lil airshow to go with the event. It looked pretty cool and I took pictures and made a video with my camera. I don’t feel like downloading them, checking them, editing them so they are fit for my blog and uploading them right now so you will have to wait till I am back home for that. With some luck I’ll do that on Sunday or maybe on Saturday. We’ll see about that.

Tomorrow we are traveling back to Holland, I’m glad we are going home although we had a good time here. I’m gonna miss the nice weather and wish I could take some of that with me, together with a small beach just for us and a pool aside of it, just so I could pull some sun out of my pocket whenever I feel the need to relax and get a nice soft tan on my skin while the soft wind keeps me cool, to take a dive in the warm (not too warm) pool, swim a few lanes and return to my beach bed to relax again and read my book while the sun does his job. The malls here I might miss too except for the fact that I don’t understand a word they say (its all Spanish) and that some of the malls are too full of people. I’ll miss Anarosa running up to her uncle and being happy when he’s back home, and the fun she had here, but at home there’s gonna be fun and laughter too again :). The traffic is really crazy here especially the bikers. So I most certainly won’t miss that. Every time when we where going to places and those bikers pass us full speed in between other cars from the right and the left I was worried that they would cause an accident. I missed my oldest daughter, the dutch language, my dutch friends, my work and my own home. I missed my dutch food, my own cooking (although Antonio’s mom is absolutely not a bad cook and me not a pro LOL and we ate often in restaurants) my couch and my bed. My stomach that gave me so much pain and trouble completely went at ease in the first few days when we arrived here so the medication worked great :). I will try not to stress so much again but heck I always worry about everything so I’m afraid its in my blood and hope that at least my husband and kids will understand now that when I say I need a break that I really need a break LOL.  I’m again a lil nervous about the flight but it will be all right I’m sure.

hahah yeah, I know I haven’t posted in too long. It’s been over a month since my last post and lots has happened since. Frankly I just have been too busy  to really sit down and be able to type a post. Of course I could have, but I just rather used that time to relax and spend with the family. So what has happened?

Hmm where to start.. well my last post was with Sinterklaas so the very best next thing would be Christmas. Well this year’s Christmas I was not going to be home and so I had a lot of things to do and take care of because we where going to go to Venezuela (and that’s exactly where I am writing this post from) So although I did wanted to have the tree up and have the house look a lil Christmassy I did not wanted to put too much stuff out since no one was going to be home. Merel stayed at her dad’s because she didn’t wanted to  come with us. We where/ are going to stay 3 weeks and Merel only has two weeks vacation so the last week when we are still here (that would be now) my mom is going to stay at my house so that Merel can just go to school and sleep in her own bed without any problems. My mom will look after her in the comfort of my house.   I have been extremely nervous and worried and stressed about things in the few weeks before we left and that resulted for me in some serious stomach problems. I tried to ignore them and just keept doing all the things I had to do before we left. The last week was the worst. with everything that I needed to pack, bringing the house in order,  my work at cjm, a flyer that I needed to put together in the last week before we left, I just completely overdid myself and my stomach started hurt more and more. Friday I barely could do anything anymore and sunday we where going to fly. So I started to worry about that and the pain got worse. That night I barely slept and the pain was really bad. Although Antonio seem to be more worried about not going to Venezuela and thinking that I maybe was trying to find a reason not to go, then worried about me. That made me pretty mad. Saturday morning we just went to the first aid at the hospital to have the doctor have a look at it/me because I did not wanted to be in another country and then end up being seriously sick or whatever. The doctor told me it was my stomach and she gave me a recipe to pick up a medication at the Apothecary in the hospital. Antonio went to pick it up and i waited.. a loooong time.. it must have been busy that moment. I was glad when he came back. The doctor had asked me to take it there and let her know how I was responding to it because I was suposed to notice a difference right away. And I did right after I took it just a few minutes later I felt my stomach getting at ease. Oh man I was so relieved. The doctor was satisfied with the result and I could go home taking the medication with me. It would not be a problem for me to fly to Venezuela and I was so relieved. We where becuse of wasting almost the whole day at the hospital far behind with stuff we still neeed to take care of and with me not being in the right shape to do much still, Antonio did most of it. I was glad I all ready had sorted out all the clothes I wanted to take with me and those from Anarosa as well so that I only had to put them in the suitcases. Unfortunately because of the lost time we didnt buy gifts for Antonio’s family other then the parfume I had ordered online ahead of time for Antonio’s mom.

At the airport I was going to buy myself a bottle of the red Dolce and Gabana so we went looking for the shops since we had plenty of time before we could check in. We bought a parfum as a gift for his bro and I bought a parfum for myself, no not my dolce and gabana… Dolce and Gabana decided to replace my favorite parfum and the one they have now just doesn’t smell like me :P. Since I did not bring any parfum at all I bought another one from Jean Paul Gaultier and was hoping some other store still may have a bottle of the old Dolce and Gabana left. At the airport they renewed all the bottles because they just have to have the newest thing right.

I was hoping to find it here in Venezuela and I have but the prices are higher then I like and expected. I do have another chance in Budapest in March but its very possible that even less bottle be available by then anymore or completely sold out so I am kinda in doubt now of what to do.. Pay more or don’t have it at all.. I think I am going to end up paying more to make sure I have it. If I find it cheaper in Budapest I still can buy another bottle right so at least I have enough parfum for a while.

Uploading the pictures I am shooting here in Venezuela have to wait till I am back home and for those who can’t wait and have me on facebook.. you can see them there. So far I have 14 Albums since I am putting everyday separately so I don’t get confused. Today I have made a cake  here and I am wondering how its going to taste, I am pretty sure its different because not all the ingredients are the same. Or actually none of the ingredients are the same lol. It looks pretty good though even though I am saying so myself.

Well for now I am going to end this post. I hope to be posting again soon but you know me.. so no promises 😛

That was about my weekend, it started on saturday with helping Sinterklaas gettign all the gifts together for the big celebration on december 5th. Right after that I was meeting up with Sandra, my colleague from CJM, at the district office for a Sinterklaas party for the kids of the  ppl who work there. It was a big party and there where sooo many kids, I have no idea how many bags of popcorn I scooped and handed out but it must be close to 200 for sure. Sandra was making cotton candy and was handing out those to the kids. So I think its safe to say that in front of our stand most of the kids where standing untill we send them away to take a break for ourselfs LOL.  After we where finished and cleaned up and put everything back in Sandra her storage, I ent back home where a cake as waiting for me to get filled and decorated. My daughter Merel was to help me so after I sat down for a short time and got my breath back, we started with the filling. I showed Merel how to mix it all and cut the cakes in two my self. Then I showed Merel how to mix up the filling  and put her to work again while I cleaned up things a little. Antonio had come home by then from his own holiday shopping and I needed to speed it up so we could have diner.

So I quickly put the buttercream and the hazelnut filling in and on the cakes and stored them in cake boxes outside. Normally I would use the refrigerator but it was rly cold outside so since it was in a cakebox it was okay to put it there till we could continue working on it. Which we did shortly after diner. We turned the cake into a real holiday thing, The bag of Sinterklaas. The pictures here and in my gallery show the cake :). Im pretty proud of it cus it turned out so great 🙂 and by now I can tell you it sure tasted great too :).

Then today my mom came to visit us and she brought some gifts with her as well. I am really happy because I got a giftcard for Cook & Co (thats a store where they sell all kinds of kitchen stuff) And Antonio got a giftcard  for a  hardware store. Merel got  2 pairs of earrings and Anarose a stone cup n saucer set to play with from Hello Kitty.

And now its sunday evening, we had diner and I am going to relax and maybe make a flyer for my cupcake club. Good evening folks!
